Change and Continuity
There have been many changes that have occurred since the 1920's. Some of these changes include increased African American rights, and new roles for women. Since the 1920's African Americans have gained equal rights and their culture has continued to be different. Also, women have been able to have more opportunities in regards of education and job opportunities. Also, pop culture has changed in some ways. In regards to advertising, there is more advertising on television compared to the 1920's when advertising was primarily on radio or signs. Prohibition is also gone, and alcohol is not outlawed for everyone. In suspicion, there are some groups that are watched today, but there is not the major panic over groups in America. There has also been much that has remained the same. Companies still try to have brand loyalty to get people to buy their products, and advertising still helps companies get greater profits. Prohibition is not as strict, but there are still some limits to alcohol usage, such as age limits. In regards to women, women have still had changing ways that are not always accepted by the older generation. Finally, African American culture has still grown and become more independent from white culture. The 1920's brought great change that has benefited everyone in some way.
